  1. Club Development.

The club committee is always looking at ways to attract new members, recent discussions have highlighted the lack of younger members joining the club. With the recent upsurge in interest due to the ‘Wiggins effect’ the committee feels the time is right to increase our efforts to attract and retain youngsters. British Cycling have training courses in place to enable clubs to have members qualified as coaches. Following discussions with BC they recommend we enroll a couple of members on their BC level 2 coaching course. The next course is being held in Bury st Edmunds in January 2013. The course takes place over the 2 days of the weekend with a third assessment day following about 8 weeks later. More details of the course will be available at the meeting. The club is looking for at least 2 volunteers to attend the course.

The cost of the course will be covered by an 80 % grant from Cycling Suffolk with the balance from club funds.
